Bonfire at Le Grand Lodge in Mont-Tremblant

Natasha and Marc-Andre were getting married on February 28, and instead of an engagement session they asked me if that could be replaced with pictures of a bonfire the evening before the wedding. At SAphoto we’re pretty flexible and of course it’s possible! So here it is the night before the wedding…

It’s a very beautiful venue and more pictures will be posted from the actual wedding day.

But tonight we make a fire!

There is a barn right besides the Grand Lodge and it looks pretty cool.

I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do off-camera lighting.

There is a flash to the left of the couple, and one behind them.

It’s pretty cold, but it’s fun and it’s a good sign for the wedding tomorrow.

Of course I did ask them to stand there.

But these moments are real…

And that is the best part of what I do.

To be perfectly honest, I asked them to turn around…

Here too!

With the snow flakes and the black and white effect, you would almost think this little fellow is an astronaut about to take off from the moon!

Still on the moon… but with beer!

  1. Les photos du vendredi soir son superbes ; je les aime beaucoup et suis maintenant impatient de voir celles du samedi… J’aime le fait que vous avez trouvé le moyen de jumeler un côté artistique original avec un look de spontanéité naturelle.

  2. For those who do not speak French, I just want to translate the nice comment posted by the groom because it shows appreciation of the core values we aim for at SAphoto:

“Friday night’s pictures are great ; I love them and can’t wait to see the ones from the wedding… I love how you managed to combine a unique and artistic look with a true natural feeling of the moment.”

Thanks Marc-André! The pics will be up in a bit :)
